OK... how many homegrown gunsmiths are on here? I'd be willing to bet that if someone wants to render that gun useful without that stupid watch, that a little time at the workbench, some common tools, and a little ingenuity would render that safety device useless. A thief could simply get someone (or themselves) to convert it.
Plus... it's on a .22. Really? $1800 for pistol/watch combo and it's a .22? And they compared it to double the price of a Glock (not a .22), and their math (as Wood Man pointed out) is flawed. Maybe 3 Glocks (in defense-capable calibers).
Like TCarmichael said... "I'll take that bet!"
This thing needs to die a horrible retail death. I hope they don't sell a single pistol.
You know what I can see coming of something stupid like this? Dumb people actually buying one and then leaving it laying around on the nightstand, loaded, with small children being able to access it anytime they want, because it's a "safe gun".
All the best,
Glenn
