Anyone have knowledge about savage axis model?

Have a guy that wants to sell one in 308 never been fired bought it in October. I have a higher end savage I like but I have no knowledge on this model. It does not have accu trigger

Their fair around $350-400. Savage aint pretty but they shoot.

They show to have pretty good reviews looks like most people do a little trigger work.

They are their lowest price guns, but for the money are very good guns. Lots of people love them.

They don't compare to the higher priced model savages but for the money they ain't bad

More like $279 new. I have been kicking around picking one up for a throwdown pickup gun for hogs and coyotes. You can get Boyd's laminated stocks for them for about $100. Easy to tweak the trigger a little too.

Guy is asking 400.00 with a 80.00 scope on it. Doesn't sound like that good of a deal

Although I have one in 243 all Brush Camo. Replaced scope with Nikon Pro Staff and its a pretty good little rifle. My daughter slayed a buck and a doe plus 3 hogs with it in December. Also if it gets canked in the field it's not a killer loss. Get a new one for the price.

Yep, $279 at Academy all day long. Offer him $300 and it may be a good deal!
