Blank slate....in very capable hands, need suggestions....

I dropped this gun off last march with Chris to be reworked. It's not my carry gun, but it does see some field time . It's always been a great shooter, but as you can see, it's very vanilla.....

I've seen guns that I really like, but I'm drawing a blank on what to do with this gun right now. Now I need to give Chris some direction, so I need some advice.

Post up some pics if you could to give me some ideas

just have him clean it up, make it look new, maybe a trigger job and a grips and call it a day.

I'd have him fit that beavertail a little closer, clean up the safety, update the sights and put on grips of your choice. Other than that, a good polish on the finish, and you will have an awesome shooter. Nice looking starter to begin with

Yep, clean it up, extended safety, polish the feed ramp. Maybe open it up if it is the old ramped style. Check the fit on the barrel bushingreplace it if it is too loose. Add new tritium sights.

Definitely some fit work on the beavertail, novak sights, new grips(g10), new mainspring housing with a magwell, then if it were me a Cerakote finish in colors of your choice. I'll post up pics of mine when I get home.

Like other have said, update the sights.....my choice would be a set of novaks. Refinish the metal in your choice, cerakote, parkerize, blue... Personally I prefer a flat mainspring housing, so I'd change that out as well. Other than that, you've got a great looking base.

If you think you might want to use it as a carry gun at some point, it would benefit from being dehorned.

Is there front strap checkering under the grips?

Paint it pink with white handles Really, personally I like the way it looks, maybe a little cleanup, possibly buff it to give a brushed finish, Ivory handles or Burled Maple, maybe Walnut or Ebony. A custom made carry holster, 2 different colored leathers, contrasting double stitching. A little etching at back of receiver that only you can see when looking down the barrel(friend of mine has a Star of David), "meet your maker" on the end of barrel. Chrome the safety. These are just a few that comes to my mind. Have fun!

Plate it gold and encrust with jewels, that's what I'd do.

All seriousness, I love it as it is.

Trigger job and new grips is all id do.

This, except the front cocking serrations.
Then Under cut the trigger guard and add front strap checkering.
Then a nice flat black finish.

Dang, I knew I was forgetting something.

                              Front strap checkering for sure.
