Yep plastic mags on the new X-bolts. But they feel sturdy enough that I dont worry much about it. I am a big Browning guy. My first gun (A-bolt 280) is an absolute tac driver. Since that, I have bought an A-bolt 22 hornet & a 243 X-bolt medallion. All are very good shooters, and the Medallion is definitely a head turner. Im in the market for a 300, and the X-bolt Long range hunter is definitely in my top 3.

All the Browning's I have owned or shot were all shooters and fit and finish were excellent
and they felt good and had good balance. The X bolts have a plastic mag that's very sturdy. Don't we all love our PMAGS for our AR's. No difference. Browning's are great shooters try one out.

Just to clarify both of my rifles are A-Bolt not X-Bolt.

I'm a Ruger guy through and through...that said, Browning makes some very fine rifles! Can't go wrong with them.

Well the next time I take an animal down I'll make sure to whisper "Kamikaze!!!" before pulling the trigger. I figure if I can trust them with my family in a car then I'm ok with my rifle.

I want this browning to be one of the next few rifles I get. I'm a little leery cause I've heard on multiple occasions they don't shoot the best. Funny I can only think of two bolt actions that I heard consistent accuracy issues with, that's the browning and the weatherby mark5.

YES Black Ice. That is the Long Range hunter I mentioned in my above post. I freaking love that gun. Like you, I do worry some about the accuracy compared to other rifles. If I can be assured that it will shoot like my other Brownings, I will be all in.

I really like my A-Bolt in .243. Fit and finish are excellent. The trigger is very good out of the box and the 60 degree bolt throw is a nice feature . The action is buttery smooth. It is very accurate with factory ammo if I do my part. I do not care for the detachable magazine setup with the hinged floorplate. I would prefer just a regular detachable magazine. I do not like the fact that you cannot work the bolt with the safety on.

I wouldn't yell "kamikaze" unless you were planing on throwing yourself at the dear.

I love shooting my .270 A-Bolt with BOSS using a solid 3-9x40 scope. It's a tack driver & I've shot 4 animals at 300+ yards with no issues. I like the 60 degree bolt & metal detachable clip.

My son's X-bolt 30-06 also shoots great. I can't say the polymer detachable clip is any better or worse than the metal.
But both are great products or quality & are durable products.
                          Both have crisp triggers.

I think pew, pew, pew will work just fine, that way if it doesn't fire you can still pretend to shoot them

I'm surprised the B.O.S.S. didn't catch on with more rifles. It allows you to really dial in your bullet.
