Which powder dispenser / measure and why?

RCBS Chargemaster or Hornady Lock-n-Load or something else?

    Thanks

Chargemaster gets my vote by a mile. Meters accurately every time and just flat out does its job very very well. Probably the best purchase out of all my reloading gear.

On sale at Midway for $299, is that a deal or keep shopping?

I believe i paid 290 for mine with no tax from midsouth.

I think if you can find one of the $20 off coupons from midway id snag it. $20 shouldnt make or break the deal though. You will get your moneys worth.

I use a Neil Jones and hand load at the range for optimum precision

Wilson hand dies are so easy to use and very repeatable

as Paul mentioned, Harrell's is one of the best and comparable to a NJ

Dang Sir, I need to plan a trip to LA for a range day with you. That would be one heck of a learning day, that's for sure

Someone had a chargemaster setup nib in the classifieds the other day.

That being said I use a Redding measure and then trickle up depending on what I am trying to accomplish and I trust the Redding to throw a consistent charge.

Asked this same question on a thread here last week and never got a solid response as to WHY the RCBS was preferred.
Did some recon and discovered that the RCBS is a lot more accurate as far as dispensing goes. It had a lot fewer over charges. RCBS also has a memory to store your favorite dispensing weights. Other than those two things, they are pretty much the same.
I went ahead and ordered the RCBS through Natchez for $289 and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow (Tues).
