Buddy's new build

We did some shooting yesterday as my buddy had just finished his new build. He calls it his new baby girl......Born date 1/31/14
I don't know much about building these things but it shoots really well and he just needs to get some new glass for it. The ported barrel really makes it uncomfortably loud though.
Not bad for his first build I think.

I know the barrel has a 1 in 8 twist and its a 20" barrel chambered in 556/223 Weighs in at 9.6 lbs. We were shooting some 556 FMJ yesterday to break the barrel in. They told him to shoot 5 shots slowly, clean, and repeat for 25 shots, is that about right?
