    Value of Model 7 6MM

I have a chance to buy this rifle. I haven't seen it yet but by all descriptions wood and bluing is in excellent shape. 1990's age rifle. I know that 6MM Remington is a desirable caliber in this model and others. Any thoughts of the ballpark value?

Not sure but they don't make them anymore. If your comfortable with the price buy it.
Be prepared to hand load for it though. 6mm Ammo is close to extinct.

The 6mm is one of my favorite calibers. If you've got the money and you don't think its an outrageous rip off, go for it, you'll love the gun!

My buddy payed $1200 NIB for the 700 Limited Edition in 6mm last year.

If the price isn't outrageous I would buy it! I love mine!! I haven't been able to find ammo in a while.

A little research and I found 3 that sold on other forums/auctions in the last 12 months and 2 at $750 or under and one at $650ish. I saw mention of people saying the gun was worth $1,000-$1,200
But actual prices seemed to be 50% of that. Looks like a sellers market though.

It's not that hard to find but bullet selection is pretty limited. Most factory loads are the 95-100gr bullets. I handload for mine so that's not an issue.

I've been told by several gun shops that ammo is no longer in production. They can't get it. I hand load so not a huge deal.

A quick search found nothing in stock and I haven't seen any at Academy in awhile.

Unless you hand load, might think twice about purchasing a 6mm.
