    Rem 700 AAC-SD scope mounts

I have a new 16.5" .308 AAC-SD. I am not a long range shooter by any means, but I might start plinking a little at 3-500 yards (long range for me) just for fun and see if that kind of thing interests me. I mainly got the rifle to suppress for hunting/plinking. I have a Zeiss Conquest 4.5x14x50 with Target Turrets that is going on this rifle. I have a B&C stock that I am bedding and I am replacing the trigger with a Timney. I am still undecided on how to mount the scope. Suggestions?

I run a Larue 20 moa base and Vortex precision rings. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out, but I do know that not everybody likes to sink as much into their gun..
