Wow. See, that is what I am talking about. You just made me an offer of $700 without even seeing it first. Even though it is in great original condition. That is what confuses me. I have seen then sold from $350-$1300. Can you tell me what makes them so variable in price? What makes them sought after?

Original and in fair condition is worth $700, the $300 price is for sporterized rifles.

Look them up on gunbroker.com to see what they're listing for.

Okay. I looked on gunbroker and saw a wide range of prices along with other sites on the internet. Thanks.
Looks like I need to decide what I want to do.

I think I might keep the DW. I did have plans to make it a hunting gun once I scope it out. Plus I just like the way it bangs.
He wants it pretty bad though. I am still thinking about giving up that rifle though. That one wasn't really an heirloom. I mean I never knew the guy who gave it to my dad. The DW on the other hand did save my uncle's tail one day in the woods. My dad shot a doe and when him and my uncle went to go pick her up a hot ran out at them and he let off all six shots until that little booger went down. They all had a good laugh about it as they were surprised that he hit anything when his eyes were closed and he was screaming. Haha. That was the first time I ever saw a wild hog.

I stored a mint Remington 03 at my ex-father in law house. Never going to see that again. Live and learn.

As far as the DPMS, pass. You can pick up AR's all day for sub $750. Just save up like the one guy suggested and build one.

I'll tell it like this. I have a Remington model 41 in .22 and I have a Hawthorne bolt action 410. Both were left to me by my grandfather ad there is not a truckload of AR's on this planet that could make me give up either one.

Keep your history. Buy a cheap AR

FD, I just want one and that is what I am would be willing to pay. Some you see have bad barrels and are not what they seem.

Relative carrying the 03 in the war made it not for sale, if it were me, I would keep both and if wanted an AR that bad, I would 2nd the rathole idea and find another way to make the money. TBH is tight, there are enough people here to help you find an AR or part one together. I have owned a Dan Wesson a long time ago with multiple barrels, great gun. If I find a good deal on an AR I will pm you.

My only computer right now is a Mac at work. I have been able to post pictures that I have taken with my phone when I was on a PC just by saving them to my desktop and then attaching them. However for some reason when I do this with my work computer, Mac, it tells me that my file is incorrect. Can anyone give me a pointer on how to post stuff on a Mac? I was trying to put some stuff on classifies and on Craigslist.com as well.
