    trust…check…suppressor bought…check…

I have been asking a few of you questions via pm's and thought I would give you a break for awhile (Mike D) This goes out to the general population with much more wisdom than I have. So, my trust is in hand and notarized, I added to my cart at silencershop.com both the stamp and yhm ti qd suppressor, and now I sit. I know it will likely be nearly a year before I have the can in my hand but I have been looking at long range rifle builds. I shot with some friends who have a tikka t3 tactical, bushnell hdrm scope, and suppressor and from the first ding I heard after hitting a target at over 970 meters I was hooked. Here is what I would like to know, I like the tikka t3 tactical but know you can build a remington 700 5r mil spec or similar also. I have a r-15 with an 18" barrel and was hoping to get it threaded for use with the suppressor also. Is that possible? If it is what flash suppressor works with the qd on my suppressor that would also work for my long range rifle that I have yet to put together? The tikka has metric threads from the factory so I don't know if any of the flash suppressors convert the metric threads on the rifle to the standard threads on the tikka if I went that route. Any ideas, and what have y'all done to be able to shoot cans on several different platforms? THanks for your time

Just have ur R15 threaded 1/2-28 and then buy a YHM QD flash hider or brake that's 1/2-28 threaded whichever u prefer and use ur 30 cal can on it.

Personally I would build off a 700 action
Cajun Blake will be along soon to give u the components but it will be along these lines

Stiller or blue printed 700 action
HS or bell and Carlson stock skim bedded if on a budget
PTG bottom metal to fit AI detachable mags
Kreiger, lilja, shillen barrels and there a few other good ones.
    Jewell trigger

Scope of ur choice. Personally if I spend the money that the HDMR costs it won't have bushnells name on it but that's just me.

see.... if you bought a specwar you could have just installed their mount already threaded for an AR that works on the 30 cal can but nooooo YHM is the thing around here

good luck!! the wait really sucks

            Thread your .308 at 5/8-24.

Thread your r-15 at. 1/2-28 and get the YHM 5.56 flash hider ($75) at Silencer Shop. Your 7.62 can with mount right up to it.

Oh, and don't listen to Matt!

If they e-file the Form 4 I'm hearing 4 months instead of 9 months.

It will take you longer than that to have a custom bolt rifle built.

ha, I wish…. just been saving pennies and dimes and selling a few things youth ministry is great, God is moving and kids hopefully are giving more and more of themselves over to their God. In most cases despite me… so to H^M be the glory

Yup it does the same thing! His r15 I'm sure wasn't threaded from the factory!

And that is why YHM is the chit around here!

Personally 16-20 inches. 18 seems to be the sweet spot. But anywhere in there will work. Since ur wanting to shoot LR I would stick with the 18-20 not that one is any more or less accurate but I've heard some people have had issues with powder not burning out at 16.

U got me on the Horus reticle. None that I like offer it that I know of.

I'd be going with at leupold, nightforce, vortex razor. Etc the list is long.... I'm not a bushnell fan but that's just me

Gotcha.... Any of those scopes you like have an illuminated reticle and look really good for predator hunting at night with decently long shots
