    Huskemaw scopes. Anyone have one?

Been thinking about trying the blue diamond. Anyone have one? What's the glass quality compared to? Are the custom turrets accurate?

I've got a buddy that has three and he said he can shoot longer in the afternoon with his than with any Leupold he owns. He's owns over 20 high end Leupolds. I'm fixing to buy a Huskamaw ASAP.

I don't have one but a quick Google search turned up plenty of threads, most of which agree they are all marketing hype. I would put money like that with a company that has a proven track record.

Signed a happy Leupold Mark 4 and Nightforce owner

Seems like Nightforce would be the way to go if your interested in a huskemaw

Oh so am I. Just thought about giving these a test drive. I've heard the turrets are a little more accurate than others. Just really curious on the class quality and field performance.
          Thanks for all the responses.

I've looked through them. They are ok. I can't speak to the accuracy of the turrets. But I would say that accurate ballistic data would be the most critical aspect of an accurate turret.

I have 2 blue diamonds and a nightforce, I like the blue diamonds as good as the NF maybe better. The blue diamond is lighter, shorter and the clarity is as good.

I have 4 of them, I also own Nightforce. The Huskemaws in clarity equal Nightforce. Turret repeatability is 100 percent. The turrets are as accurate as the data you send them. You can send your rifle to them they will mount your scope and shoot it for the data if you do not feel confident in your own ability then you will know it is right.

Definitely lighter. I will probably get a huskemaw if I ever get around to pulling my night force off my rifle and selling it. Love the night force just try to cut all the lbs possible on my pack rifle and its a good amount heavier.

I have one, Heath, but it's my first "high end" scope. I've used a couple of Nightforces, and would say the glass quality is comparable, if not a little brighter. I do like the reticle in the Huskemaw better, it seems less "busy" and more functional with only the wind hold-offs on the horizontal stadia lines.

I got mine from Lloyd Hill in Allen, and he did all the ballistic data collection and turret ordering for me. I've shot it to 1000 yards, and the turret is accurate out to even that range. Mine's on a .284 that I had built so I could go hunt with Chad and hang with the Humphries boys/Halliburton crowd.

The pronghorn doe I took this year was only at 400yds, not a difficult shot with this rig. It was a simple matter of ranging the animal, dial the yardage on the elevation turret, and make the shot. No wind to consider, bullet impacted exactly at point of aim, animal went down. I really like the turret graduations being expressed in yardage instead of MOA or Mils, no conversion necessary after ranging.

Thanks buddy and all who've responded. Yeah stu need something to keep up with the Humphrey boys! I went to Canadian this year and ran off and forgot my binos. Called chad along the way and Brian let me borrow his Zeiss binos for the week. Couldn't ask for 2 nicer guys!
