    Old Ammo

Some very good friends of mine were up In the northwest this elk season and ran across a guy who somehow came to ask them if the knew anyone who shot a .264 Mag. They brought me this.

I'd shoot a couple 1st to see how they pattern, but is this stuff cool to shoot? I'm not gonna shoot the 100grs at all.

    Check out the price tags!

Nothing really. But the .264 had a bad rep of burning up barrels back in the day due to hot factory loads and too light of bullets. Besides, I'm not gonna re-sight in for 140s and 100s.

Wanna sell one box of each? No bullets just the ammo boxes.

That ammo is from the 50's and 60's....If it has been kept in a cool dry spot..it would be ok....I still have some ammo that is of this age..but generally use it sighting in....Then I finish sighting in with the ammo that I will be using.... Now if I were hunting hogs and such..It would'nt bother me to hunt with that ammo....

I would. Just to give the cash to my friends who gave me the ammo. And I won't look up the values if you'll make me a fair offer.

Judging from the condition of the boxes and brass, I'd say it's been stored right. Hogs is pretty much what I had in mind for it.

Kinda makes me wish I had a chrono.

I'm not sure on what the fair value would be. I've got a mini collection starting from boxes gifted to me. Let me do some looking to see what they're worth.

Man I like those boxes. I remember them from way back. I kick myself for throwing some away about 15 years ago. I love the red and green look. And white and yellow.

I wouldn't shoot them because I'd rather have them like they are. I'll bet they shoot just fine though. Sweet find!

Nothing wrong with that ammo if its been stored right.

Im shooting this in my 6mm right now and its getting great groups.
