When I bought my ruger sr 762 off gunbroker I was watching the tracking number like a hawk so the second it said delivered I left for the gun store. Kinda freaked the guy out he was like it just litterally got off the truck.

waiting on a new gun or part for any "normal" man, is like being 8 years old at 5:45am on Christmas morning. so please forgive those of us that only call every-now and then to check. the ones that call three times a day, (probably the same ones who threw a fit for not getting the toy they wanted on Christmas) make them wait until 8:00am to open presents!

My guy, a fellow TBH'er from Lindale is the bomb diggety! Easy to deal with and always helps me trick the government into letting me have another gun! I just forward him everything I get and all the tracking numbers.

I am currently the "watching tracking link, waiting for it to say Delivered so I can nonchalantly call FFL guy and ask if he's seen my rifle show up yet"....guy.

then you are not a collector...you are an enthusiast who does not mind waiting and passing on a good deal.

OR, you are like some of my customers willing to pay top dollar for the gun and top dollar for the overnight early AM shipping.

I have seen grown men go nutz when I would not allow them to take home a 6 figure English double because the seller forgot his info.

The internet has changed the way a gun collector can aquire an item...I only deal with close friends and family for 4473's, as I do mostly consignments. I have no rants here, as it is not my $$$ or gun that is coming in. Call me every hour if you want to hear 'not yet'...my guys know I watch their tracking and have no sympathy if they do not give it to me or watch it themselves.

I just follow the laws & try to pass along sound advice for those who do not like headaches.
