    Slug guns

    12ga vs 20 ga

    I have a 12 gauge h&r rifled Barrel but
It kick would a 20 gauge much less is its
Worth the 300 to buy a 20 gauge
What slugs n scope you guys use I've been useing the cheap Remington two and three-quarter slugs 6.00 for 5 slugs and
    For a scope a cheap 3x9x50 tasco I
    Only shoot 20 yards

I come from slug country. Stay with the 12, and being rifled get a sabot slug. My set up is zeroed at 100. My other slug gun is a 12 ga smooth bore with iron sights, shoot rem sluggers and have killed many a deer between 50 and 100 yards with it. Why would you limit yourself to 20 yards?

Scope. Get a scope built for a slug gun or it won't last

20 yds ?? in that case I would use some 00 or 000 buckshot, shoot a bunch of pigs in 1 shot.

Momma shoots an H&R 20 gauge slug gun. Open sights and it does a number on hogs. Shooting the old school slugs and 20 yards on the shots. She doesn't seem to mind the kick.

I have seen a savage 20 gauge bolt gun that is extremely accurate

I use a Savage Model 212 (12 gauge) with Leupold Ultimate Slam and 3" Winchester Dual Bonded Sabot Slugs. I have taken deer out to 240 yards with it. Might be a little overkill for a 20 yard shot at a hog.
