I bought a pair at Wal-Mart (last minute Christmas shopping) I think they were 60.00 and they work awesome for blocking impulse noise and amplifying low end noise.

The Howard Leights are mine. The others get borrowed.

I've got the Howard leights too. Got them off amazon. Usually a little cheaper.

Great for handgun hunting. Don't have a compensated gun right now, but would also use for hunting if I did. Rule of thumb: If your ears ever ring after shooting (or concert, loud tools, etc.) you have done permanent damage to your hearing.
