    Colt Gets it Done. DRT

Since this is the firearms section I thought it was appropriate to post this here.

Bought my Colt 6920 earlier this year and decided it was time she drew her first blood.
.223, 65gn jsp, steel case. (Don't remember which Russian brand )
80 yd shot right at sundown with the peep sight. (can't believe my old eyes managed to get it done.)
Jumped straight up at the shot. Crashed twenty yds from where she was hit.
Bullet blew out the top of the heart. Shredded the lungs. Broke through the opposite ribs then traveled up under the armpit. Haven't found it yet but it didn't exit.

Ha ha. .60 cents a roll at Lowe's.
I haven't gotten a light mount for it yet and I was going to stay on stand untill well after dark to hunt pigs, if no deer showed up. I always carry a roll of electrical tape in my truck. Comes in handy when you need to improvise.

Way to go Geoff. And the tape job looks first class for a aircraft mechanic.

Now don't start. It was a rush job. I could have used zip ties but I need them for putting tags on the deer.
Besides, it ain't getting inspected and it's not gonna fly.

Now the push button turkey call I've got on my shotgun is a work of art. Form fitted, railroad track edging and zip ties.
