Buddy of mine just started loading for his 300 using once fired brass and 110 bullet. Problem is the bullet came out of case when he tried to chamber it. I looked at the round and the seating depth was minimal maybe 1/8 " as a guess. Told him to seat deeper and mark bullets to see if they are touching lands. Any other ideas or direction.

That's a really short bullet and 1/8 seating depth isn't much to hold on to. Seat deeper or use a longer bullet. I doubt you are anywhere near the lands with that setup.Comment

Check you bullets! Sounds like 30 carbine bullets? Had a guy do this once.Comment

300blk uses a very short throat. The bullets are seated into the case with almost all of the cylinder section in the case neck.Comment
