Ok so we got my mom this little .380 pistol for christmas last year and it has had right at 30 rounds through it over the last year. I volunteered to function check it for her today and was planning on getting 200 rounds through it. Right around the 40 round mark so 70 total for the gun I notice that it starts to shoot way off to the left. Then next mag shoots back on point and then back left, start messing with the rear site and it is loose nothing holding it at all it actually slides off with no effort. After this it quits shooting hammer drops with no pin strike, I look under the rear site and there is a little pin that when I pushed it made the pistol start firing. So did something fly out of there or what when I removed the rear site? And if it did what is it called and where can I buy one to replace it or will I have to take it to a smith? Thanks ahead of time and sorry for the long read, would rather give yall to much info than to little.

So finally got around to getting ahold of colt and they got me a 2 day fedex packing slip no questions asked and was able to get it out the door very next day after calling them. This was on the 15th of this month so right at 2 weeks ago. Anybody know what their turn around time is usually like? I will add I am very impressed with their customer service.

Update, got a call on thursday from fedex trying to find my house. Some how they had my name and street right but the city and zipcode were off ended up in andrews instead of grandfalls. Called colt and they had the right address in the computer but the box ended up with the wrong one some how. Ended up having to email them a change in address. Should be back within the next few days.
Overall really fast turn around and I will update the thread again with the pistols function when I receive it in the mail. Didn't cost me a dime to get it sent off and back colt picked up the tab.
