    Lubbock area reloaders

Where are you guys getting your powder, primers, and bullets. I have recently learned of gunbot.net and several other online sources but was wondering if any of you guys are shopping local. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Academy is stocking Winchester primers on occasion. Sharp Shooters keeps a decent selection of powders, bullets and primers. Bud's stocks it as well. Gander keeps some as well.

Powder and primers get expensive to order online because of shipping costs. Buy bullets online at cheapest prices and powder primers locally.

Honestly, I get most of my reloading supplies at Field and Stream in San Angelo when I go through there. Their selection is good and pricing is very fair compared to Sharp Shooters in Lubbock.

I did discuss stocking reloading supplies with an Academy mgr and one of their big wigs out of Houston in the Lubbock or Midland store(cant remember which one I was in at the time). He said he would take that info back to corporate.......I'm holding my breath on that one.

Thanks for the reply. I called sharpshooters today asking about prices on their powders and it was close to a 100% markup! It is sad when buying 4 lbs of powder there will get you 8 lbs anywhere else.

They aren't cheap on primers either. Most they only sell by the 1000.

There will be a Cabela's in Lubbock next year. Should be a better selection then.

I always wait until someone is going by a Cabelas, hopefully the new Cabela's coming to Lubbock will give us a breather on the high prices.
