    reloading powder ?

Getting into reloading and have a few questions. Only reloading pistol rounds for now( 9 and .40). Seems that the avg. price for primers is going to run me about $30-35 for 1000. What is a good price for powder and what are good prices for bullets. I have always kept brass so I have plenty for now but the two items I listed are hit and miss and i really would like to know when I do find some if it is a reasonable price or not. Also if you had to pick one powder for the above calibers what are you guys going to buy. I know its all about experimenting and finding what is best but I'm hoping this question is more straight forward than asking what bow should i buy. Thanks for all your help, i appreciate any replies!!

I like Titegroup for all my non magnum handgun loads. I think it's about $24-28/lb.

        x2 $20/lb last time I bought
4 grains on my 9mm loads. A lb goes a long way.

I haven't bought any in awhile. I stocked up 3-4yrs ago. It might be cheaper than I thought. About 4.3grs with a 180g slug makes major in my 40. A pound will last a long time.

I used to use win231 & HP-38 (same powder different label) alot. Titegroup was just a little cheaper and then I found an 8# jug so I switched to that.

                    Both are great powders tho!

Win 231 was THE powder for 45 ACP when I first started shooting IPSC. Then I moved to the 40S&W and discovered Titegroup.
