    Harris BiPod

I took my 7mm-08 out last week end to get it sighted in. I was shooting of a Harris bipod. This was the first time I had ever shot off a bipod. I had it installed where the legs fold toward the barrel end of the rifle (which I think is correct). One thing I noticed was that the rifle jumped quite a bit after each shot.

    Is this normal?

What can I do to limit this jump after each shot?

It's normal, just let the rifle do it's thang.........

You can limit it somewhat by adjusting how vertical your upper body is when at the bench, and how high the bipod legs are extended. You just have to play with your position a little bit to see what's most comfortable. I like mine set as low as possible when shooting off a bipod.

You have to "Load the bipod" before you shoot. This decreases muzzle rise and helps to maintain your sight picture.
