Extra pistol mags: Stored Empty or Full?

Im not talking about ones you carry with your CH. Do you store your extras full or empty?

i do both. I will leave them loaded for a couple of weeks and then upload them for a week or so then reload them back up. I do this just so the springs get some kind of use besides just sitting there

I use the same exact method. Works really well. Gives me a reason to mess with my guns every couple of weeks rotating mags around.

having a mag loaded or unloaded does not effect it.
the use of the magazine is what actually effects the spring strength.

        hope that helps.

Full. Springs don't wear from compression, they wear from cycling

leaving ammo in will break in the springs if they are tough to load

I keep 4 or 5 loaded for each weapon, not really expecting an all out fire-fight.

Save money and keep a pile of rocks in the place the unloaded mags.
                        J/k

                        I keep mine loaded

Mine are all loaded -1 round. Don't ask why, just makes me feel better that way! Lol

The only mags I don't leave loaded are my double stack STI mags.

I have a couple loaded and the rest are empty. I have never noticed springs wearing out from staying compressed. The springs I always wear out are the ones that get cycled alot in my match mags. Those would get cycled 300 times or more a year. I would replace them annually.
