I bout some new rings for my savage 12fcv .223. When I went to put them on I leveled the rear scope base and tried to level the front base, but it wouldn't get level with the other one and vice versa. The gun is shooting one ragged hole at 100, I'm curious will this keep it from shooting accurate past 100? If so how do I fix this, the scope is a burris Fullfield II BDC. Bought the gun brand new from guns galore and they put the base on too....?

Will it effect accuracy?

if it was shooting 1 ragged hole, I wouldn't have messed with it
it's not a rifle accuracy issue, problem is your mis-aligned rings may cause torque and shifting issues with your scope. Wouldn't be surprised if the uneven rings results in dents in your scope tube body
do you have a 1 piece base or 2 piece ?
Burris pos-align rings with inserts could possibly fix the problem

Two piece base; the rings I had before were too thick and I couldn't slide the scope back far enough to get good relief. Now relief is perfect! Just curious if the crooked scope base could do anything (not really bad just wondering). Thanks.
