    Rifle Coatings

Im looking a building a 300 Win Mag. I love the AWR II on the remington custom shop and would like to build something similar. Does anyone know about the Trynite Coating vs something like the BlackIce Coating?

you need to research and find a company that does PVD (physical vapor deposition) or DLC (diamond like carbon) coatings .... it will be real expensive

I'd just go with a stainless steel match grade barrel and have it either Cerakoted or Black T by Birdsong

if you can't afford PVD or DLC, just have your metal parts done by Metalloy in electroless nickel, and then coated with Blk T or Cerakote

will probably cost you $400 - $600 depending on who you shop with , no telling on lead delivery time ... perhaps 6 months to a year+
