    Remington 66 Fix ?

Ok. I got this from my late grandfather, and it's been in the closet since he passed in 07. I'm wanting my kids to start shooting it, but a piece is broken. I can shoot pretty much any firearm, but I'm clueless to fixing/upgrades.

Is this the "bolt handle?" And, can a novice like myself painlessly replace it, or do I need a gunsmith ? Thanks !

If my old mind is still correct, I think all you need to do to remove the charging handle is pull it straight out but its been years since I owned a 66.

Careful taking a Nylon 66 apart. They are a booger to get back together. Lots of parts & springs.

Yep-grab it with a pair of pliers, pull straight out, stick replacement back in, and you are done.

Brownell's carries that part as well. Just got one for my nylon and it was less than $10.
