Glock 20sf or gen 4 size

How does the Glock 20 sf or gen 4 compare in terms of grip size to the G22? I have the bug to get a 10mm as a backpack carry weapon, could use to shoot a deer or hog if desired, and would also serve for home defense. I have smaller hands, and have been having a heck of a time getting my hands on one to see how they feel.

The regular g20 gen 3 is too bulky in the grip for me. G22 (40 s&w) gen 3 and gen 4 fit me great, gen 4 g21 (45) is a bit bulky too. What frame is the gen 4 or small frame G20 based on? Thanks

The G20 and G21 use the same frame.

Yep if you've handled a Gen 4 21, you've handled a Gen 3 20SF. Same exact size. The one thing I will say for the 20/21 is that it doesn't feel all that great sitting still at the gun counter, but once that big ol heavy slide starts rockin and the lead is flying it is one of the sweetest shooting handguns there is. My hands just barely fit the 21SF but it is by far my favorite Glock. Even more so than the 19/23 which fits my hands like a glove. I sold my 1911 after getting my 21SF from Javi because I realized I would never shoot it again. The 10mm has much sharper recoil but the Glock soaks it right up.

Thanks, have a friend with a full size 21, will have to shoot it and see what the 'worst fit' feels like. My main concern is trigger control, I felt like I was stretching to get a good handle on the trigger with the gen 3 regular frame 20

just in case you dont already do this....you are supposed to only use the last 1/2" of your finger to pull the trigger. If the first joint of your finger is touching the trigger you are using to much and if that is what you are used to doing it will feel like the reach is to far.

Understood, it felt like I was just able to get the tip of my finger to the trigger safety - would like to have the pad squarely on there. that said, this was at a gun show, so hard to really bear down and get a good shooting grip as you would in the field. Two hand may have helped a bit too.

I have some larger frame handguns, but never had a glock, they definately feel a bit different, but I really like the idea of a 10mm, like the accuracy of a glock, and like the idea of carrying more rounds than I'd ever use in a week elk hunting (even if popping a couple grouse) with just one spare loaded magazine.

I had a glock 20 gen 3 and bought a gen3 20sf. It definitely fits my hands better and shoots like a dream.
