    Skunked elk hunt

High mountain camp was snowed out, guide tried to find elk in lower country but no luck. Its going to be a very long trip home. Had saved and planned 9 years, painful.

It happens. Sorry for the bad luck. If it were easy, everyone would do it.

Sorry the hunt went bad. I went October a year ago, on the second day of the hunt my horse threw me - end of hunt. It only took me a month to recover, no permanent damage so I guess I was lucky. 3 elk trips and still no elk.

Hey, a bad elk hunt is still better that not hunting at all! I've got 4 elk tags in my drawer that are not filled. I got back from Colorado a month ago. No elk, but got close to them every day. I get a little closer to closing the deal every time I go. I learned a little more about elk hunting, and myself. Hopefully next year! Stay after it. Like one if the earlier post said "if it was easy, everybody would take an elk every year".
