American Rifle - An Art Form

Here's Pops old .243 Winslow. Not sure the exact year this gun was built by Winslow Arms, but she was one sweet shooter!

From 1963 until 1996, Winslow Arms (first based in Florida, then in South Carolina) produced bolt-action sporting rifles the likes of which were never seen before, and will never be seen again. They were bolt-action centerfires, all based on commercial FN Mauser actions. All had blind magazines, and all were heavy rifles. Not many were made, and photos of them are extremely rare, so you’ll have to use your imagination.

This scene is 1980 or 81. He sold it....never knew why but that's kind of what he does at times. Myself, I would have hung on to her knowing it's value would continue to grow as the years roll along.

Those were sexy guns back in the day. I worked for Abercrombie and Fitch back when they were a high end sporting goods store and would see one from time to time. They just oozed quality.
