anybody shooting this rifle/scope combo?

looking at picking it up a weatherby vanguard s2 in .308 or 7mm-08 and putting a vortex viper 4-12x40 PA on it. is any one on here currently shooting this combo? how do you like it? Pics of groupings and rifle pics would be greatly appreciated

Vanguard S2 is a great rifle with a nice trigger and is very accurate. I have no experience with Vortex optics. I don't think you can go wrong with a Vanguard S2.

well picked up the rifle today, was out the door at bass pro for $540.. scope should be getting here this week, then time to buy a good set of rings and a base

I have a higher powered viper on my kimber 308. I really like the glass for the money and the ballistic holdovers are spot on at max magnification. Will be honest my redfield scope for half the money is pretty darn impressive. Vortex customer service is like none other.

I mounted viper using Burris tactical rings. Very happy with them as well.

Well i finally got it all set up like i wanted, and got it cleaned, now to sight it in!
Weatherby Vanguard S2, Vortex 4-12X40 PA, Tally rings, and a Caldwell bipod.

I went with 7-08, shooting 140gr nosler partition I believe

Nice setup there, my 7mm08 shoots the Remington core lokt and the Fusion 140gr real well.
