Alright so I'm thinkin about building a 6br all this talks got me thinking I need one. I'd like to stay with a 700 action. And hopefully can do it reasonably!
This may be a few months away but I want to start lookin.


Fire away. Give me brands prices and ideas!

Oh and which 6mm br do I want? I've looked on the 6mmbr website and there's several improved chambers. I want something easy to load for.

1:8" twist barrel - $275-350 (Hart, Lilja, Bartlein, PacNor, Shilen, Kreiger)
True/blueprint action - $125 (optional)
Fit, chamber, crown - $225

Manners or McM stock ... Add another $300-550
Fluted barrel ... Add another $125
Jewell trigger ... $200
Tuned 700 factory trigger .... $50

Kreiger barrels are 18 months out as I can help you find what you need. Buy it peice by peice as money allows . I'd recommend calling Chris or Penny at PacNor as they are very reasonable and make barrels that shoot, very easy to clean. 3 groove , Sendero/Varmint Special contour, finished at 24".

I've got three 6BR's as they are so simple to load for and the cartridge is easily capable of 1 hole accuracy

You might take a look at this place. They have a bunch of new and slightly used equipment. Don't assume because it's title is "bench rest" that it doesn't have stuff for varmints or just normal shooting.
