I switched to the 85gr Vital Shok Trophy Copper. super accurate in my Savage. I have some 95gr Nosler balistic tip and 87 gr vmax. that I can load as well. I just like being able to grab a box off the shelf that shoots really well out of my gun.

Actually dropped a doe this morning with my 243. Nice to be on an MLDIII lease so I have the option.

How do y'all like the 85gr for deer? Gonna build a bunch of .243's and fil loves 100's but I'm thinking about dropping the weight to reduce recoil for my sister in law. She's dead set in killing a deer and is afraid of recoil when it comes time to shoot a deer. She's deadly against paper.
