          How big of a pain was the whole process? I just bought a 300 Blackout that should be arriving tomorrow, so I'm being going down this same road pretty soon.

            why are you taking the gun to them now? you wont have that barrel back for a long time, so you might as well leave the factory one on the gun until the other arrives. all they need is the serial number from the the nfa barrel anyway

                      I brought the gun with me to Va because that's where the guy is that makes the barrel. It'd be one thing if I was just getting a can but this one is the whole barrel.

                        He will have to cut the barrel down to 16". Make the shroud and mill/turn everything to match. By the time it is all said and done it is going to be a while. Plus he is currently backlogged a few months.

                        I have patience and since I can't shoot it on base I don't mind the wait.
