    s/w m&p rust issues

I'm a police motor officer and have carried a glock since the 90's until we switched to the S/W m&p earlier this year, after the rain storm last week I never got the weapon wet just the humidity rusted the guide spring rod . it was stuck to the upper frame so bad I had to yank and yank the slide to get it apart, it wouldn't have cycled a new round if I had needed it. if you have one check with S/W. I called our police armorer and she said to bring it in to inspect the parts she said s/w was aware of the issue and said it may have been a bad batch of springs 2 other officers who are not motorcycle officers also had rust issues, since so many use this weapon as a daily carry or sidearm when hog hunting.....check your weapons

dept was testing several weapons and smith gave us a great deal on these weapons and we've had glocks since the early 90's,love my 3 issued glocks they always ran great never any rust issues or any other type of issues the s/w runs great and does have a better trigger than a stock glock gen 3 40 cal. imho just putting this out there for any owners to check your weapons
