    Yet another AR scope question

I have a Windham AR with a flat top and no forward post sight. I've been shooting with flip ups for a while but want a scope for it now. I'm needing too many toys right now to jump in the high end side of the pool. I'm looking at a Nikon P-223 4-12x40mm scope at Bass Pro for $199, but they don't carry the P-223 two piece rings, just the M-223 one piece base rings. The P-223 are $49 and the M-223 are $99. This is not a big deal. I just want to know if the P-223 scope will work with the M-223 base & rings? This scope is full length, not the shorter 3x32mm. I assume that mounting will be easier with the M-223 base too.

I'm trying to scope this AR out for around $300 so I can still get a Bushnell Truth rangefinder for $200 at the same time.

Nobody answered so I had to go with my gut. I went with a P-223 4-12x40 scope paired up with a Burris P.E.P.R. Cantilever base & rings combo. The rings come with both smooth and picatinny rail tops. This'll make it easier to attach my Elusive Wildlife green light for hogs and varmints. This left me with enough coin for a Bushnell Truth rangefinder. Gotta love Bass Pro for 6 pay and free shipping to boot

I run the same mount set upexvempt I have the luepold. You might need to buy a riser for the top of rings to clear your turret for your kill light.

            Great setup. You'll love it.

The PEPR is a great mount. You done good. I just got one from a TBHer for a heckuva price. They're awesome mounts.

Anything Nikon is great glass for the money. I've got a buckmaster 3-9x50 on a rifle and it is an awesome piece.

Nice. I put a 3x32 P223 BDC on an AR I just built for my FIL. I like it. Got the P-Series mounts off Amazon.

I have 5 Nikon BDC Scopes (buckmaster and prostaff) on some of my .25 caliber guns and .243s. I think they are great for the price. Clear glass and love the BDC.

Midway and Natchez are having a sale on Nikon...EBay usually has them priced right also.
