Favorite duck and goose loads

my favorite duck load is hevi metal 3" #3's love them. what really sold me on them was peter-rolling redheads at 45yrds and having to pick feathers out of the breast. it was crazy. since switching to hevi metal I have had notably less cripples. I've gone from buying the cheapest shells out there, too buying a case of hevi metal every year.

Black Cloud is LETHAL on ducks and geese. Was in the blind in KS last year shooting Canadas with a friend. Same flocks, same distance and his 3&1/2" steel vs my 3&1/2" Black Cloud BB loads: I could hear the steel on the geese when he shot and they kept flying. They folded when I hit 'em with the Black Cloud....we ended up splitting the box :-)

I've also heard HEVI SHOT patterns tremendously well. A bit expensive though.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Went out this a.m. and did pretty well. Few birds short of our 5 man limit. Can't wait till the big birds start flying!

I shoot the cheapest #2,3 or 4 my gun will pattern well usually Winchester Xpert or federal speedshot
