    ARs and quality

So youre out shopping for a new rifle. Someone saus "i have a new remington ready for you right this second! Just buy it and itll kill whatever you can efficiently shoot at!" It happens to be a 770 and youre not sure so you buy it because its remington brand. Lo and behold you find out that the people who told you its crap because its crappy and has a nylon chamber and very low end had you spent time to review things, you wouldnt have bought it because its not a 700 standard.

"Hey, i have a marlin xs7 that has cool features and neat gadets. Buy it because itll do everything a rem700 will do, but better."

" that savage is good but looks like dog**** so i wouldnt buy it."

Now place the same standards to the AR platform and seriously consider you purchase before dropping the almost triple amount of coin on a rifle that youd have spent on a quality bolt gun based on brand name and reputation just to get into the game of good shooting rifles. Set your expectations and save your money for good and worthy products.

I honestly couldn't understand the point of your post.. Are you advising, or complaining that you've bought some junk guns?

Regarding your quality vs looks comment on the savage, looks are a bonus for me. I buy a rifle for the accuracy/quality of the piece. If I find a rifle that's stupid accurate but looks like crap I'd probably still buy it. Lesser chance of gettin it stolen too.

Kind of a confusing post. I feel this is regards to my $25.00 Stripped lower ha ha. I have Custom guns worth $3,000 but if I want to buy a cheap 770 just to try it out then so be it. Just like AR-15s people can own $2000+ set-ups but if they want to buy some cheap parts just to get their own opinion on it then what's the deal. I think it really comes down to what a person wants to spend THEIR money on.

Different story if I tell my friend don't by that POS Rem 710 and they buy it then come complaining to me that is doesn't shoot worth a dang and the bolt sticks after every shot, and want to get their money back. I can see that side of the story.

What i am getting at is you guys will drop serious coin on top dollar bolt guns and talk trash about lesser names based on looks or brand name. When people in the know start telling you why something is lesser quality on a rifle you happen to like, technical data and real world experience worthy, you get butthurt. Thats where my confusion lays.

He's ranting because people are buying Bushmaster, DPMS, RRA, etc instead of Colt, Daniel Defense, Noveske, etc. His argument is for only a little bit more money, you can get a Colt. SOSDD

I own Bushmaster, S&W, Rock River, and Mossberg ARs. The mossy is my favorite. Most accurate, least expensive. Where's the beef?
