Strange that a 223 round would be loaded hot, but not unheard of. Mistakes happen... Ive heard about Hornady doing this before in their 223 ammo.

Whats the chamber of your barrel?

and what grains are the hornady's?


Oh and Yes what you have is normal with the bumpage.

Clean your barrel and chamber real well and shoot something else.
