This has been talked about for awhile and as far as i know, may be close to happening. Along with tightening up on trusts however, they're talking about doing away with the CLEO sign off. That way, the transfers can still happen but they get transferred to individuals so they have a better paper trail as to where the NFA items are.

The article was about trusts...I'd take it a little more seriously if I were you guys. To say the potus has no pull, would be a serious miscalculation. He's pulled of plenty of things we though he had no shot at.

Nfa paper trail for legal items is wide and well tracked, and the removal of leo sign off is actually beneficial to an nfa trust. Since the trust is based on law, congress will have to present a bill and be held accountable. 2a is a nail in the coffin for the vast majority of congress
