    Stoeger Youth 20ga O/U??

I had planned on buying my 5' tall, 94# 10yo son a Yildiz Youth 20ga O/U prior to dove season this year, but apparently Yildiz has 200 of them on back order and none of my local Academy's has one in stock. Does anyone have experience with the Stoeger Youth model O/U 20ga? There are only a couple of reviews on Cabela's website but both are favorable. Thanks!

I had a Stoeger 28 ga side-by-side for a while when Zach was little. No frills, but a good little gun.

I have a stoeger SxS .410 and have no complaints. It's a squirrel killing machine.

Dont know if it will help you or not but, I have the over and under 12 gauge.
Great gun so far after 3 years and no problems. Its one I dont mind a little rough handleing and it doesnt seem to mind either.
The breakover was really tight at first but I talked to stogerand they said to break it completely down and make sure all the cosmoline was off it. It worked like a charm after that.

Thanks, JP. That's the kind of info I'm looking for. I was just really trying to find out if Stoeger made a decent, inexpensive O/U. Sounds like they do. Thanks again fellas!

We've got one of those and my 13 and 12 yr old boys love it! As Jp said, it can be a bit tight at first, but a good cleaning and shooting it quite a bit seemed to be the fix. You can definitely see that the machining isn't perfect when it is apart, but it doesn't affect function and it's not a $1000 gun. In fact, I think it looks pretty nice and it has held up well. I'd say thumbs up!

I bought one this afternoon @ Bass Pro. I'd have much rather gone to Cabelas', but they were out, BP only had two.

                Jeez......that Midcities traffic SUCKS!!

I had the over and under 12g . It kicks like a Mule ! I just had a hard time killing with it because of how it lined up for me . I shot a Stoger 2000 and kill everything I point it at . It just lines up for me .
I sold it to my co-worker who has a duck guiding bussnes on the side . He says he's put over 5,000 shells and no problems . All 3" Black Cloud #6 .

I had a o/u yildiz and it would come apart when I broke it open to reload. Did it numerous times and I finally got rid of it. Maybe I got a lemon.

I also have a Stoeger SxS in 12 gauge and have no complaints whatsoever. Let me know how the O/U works out for you because I've thought about picking one up.
