After you replace it (they will send you one - great customer service), always make sure the bolt is closed / forward before you slam the magazine in. Or load the magazine gently if you leave it open.
Look at it next time you have it open. Load a full mag with the bolt locked back, but push the mag in gently. As it gets to the top, a little more push will cause the top cartridge to hit the tip of the firing pin, causing what you have now.
All the best,
Glenn

GlennThis gun is new to me so I was cleaning it before I go shoot it and I noticed the bent pin.

That 995TS is a fun firearm to own. I've had both the 995TS and 4095TS. I've only dealt with the factory for accessories - but they were great. All reports from the Hi-Point forum website mentioned the firing pin issue if you stuff a magazine into it hard with the bolt back, so I never did it on mine and never had an issue. Posts also mentioned the factory sending replacement firing pins if you call them.
Both of mine were extremely accurate. The guy I sold my 995TS to won't even consider selling it back to me. I got the AR-itis, so I sold off my Hi-Points when I got my first AR. No, they aren't an AR, but they also aren't the price of an AR either. They are what they are - fun as heck pistol caliber carbines to have a blast with.
Have fun with it.
All the best,
Glenn
