    Stopping rust

Just got a new yildiz and was giving it a thorough cleaning today after shooting clays this weekend. Found a little spot of rust between the barrels underneath the fore grip (it's a side by side). Very minor and certainly doesn't impact the aesthetics, but would like to get it cleaned up and coated for peace of mind.

anyone have any suggestions on what to use to touch it up?

Btw, overall really happy with the gun for the price. Points really well, and gonna be a great upland gun for carrying around all day.

A little oil and some fine steel wool will remove the rust. Degrease the spot with some alcohol or acetone. Follow up with a dab of Permablue and then oil. Should keep the spot rust free.

0000 steel wool and WD-40. Spray rust then gently wipe with steel wool.
When rust is gone wipe dry and then oil with a good gun oil. Works for me.
