Scope Question

I'm looking into buying a scope. I've narrowed it down between a Zeiss Conquest and a Weaver Super Slam. Both are 20's by 50. The weaver is a little cheaper and I've also looked through one a couple times and it looked great. Just wondering about any other info between the two. I've never owned either of the two brands. That's for the help.

Are there two different types. The US made ones and the German ones? I remember hearing about that I think.

I'm no expert by any stretch, but the German made ones are labeled T* somewhere and if you want the best Zeiss you can get and have the $$ from everything I've read go with that. It has a better lens coating. Though a Zeiss Conquest is a fine scope and I wish I had one for all my rifles.

Is the Conquest 6.5x20x50 a 1" tube or 30mm. I looked on line but couldn't find where it said it any where.

I know weaver doesn't have the name. But the weaver super slam I looked through looked awsome. I own leaupolds and vortex and it suprised me.

Natchez.com has one for 799.99. Is this a scope I can depend on?

Supposedly the new Weaver stuff is really really good. A friend swears by it. But dang it's pricey. Zeiss Conquest is some of the best stuff out there. Cameralandny.com has some great deals on Zeiss demos. You can buy there with confidence.
