40 Cal Lee Die set - cases getting ripped-any Help?

    This picture shows the flared case with the bullet sitting on the top up to that black marked line.... at this stage if you were primed and powder loaded you could seat the bullet... once it goes up into the die it will push the bullet down into the case and close the flare around the bullet.... no crimping needed

          This was my first thought. I have never reloaded pistol ammo but have reloaded straight cased rifle ammo 45/70 &444.

          Had this happen to me in the beginning. Lesson learned.
