    Which .22lr bolt gun?

I think I have it narrowed down to either a cz455 or a Savage Mark II. Which would you choose? which one is more accurate? Anything else in this price range that is accurate for the money that I should consider? Thx

CZ is a much more refined gun. But the Savage is going to be the better bang for the buck. Buy whichever you like or fits you or your budget better. You should be pleased with how either shoots. One of my biggest gun selling mistakes was letting go of my CZ in .17 HMR.

May consider the browning t bolt or the pws T3 summit. Idk what the two you mentioned cost, but my T3 shoots one tiny little hole. I like it better than any bolt action. Just work the bolt with your index finger.

Fromt the 2 you asked about, I'd pick the Savage. We have 3, and all shoot very well. I picked 2 of them up from a shop that was going out of business, and another for my son from the classifieds here. Couldn't be happier, especially my kids running bolt guns when ammo costs were silly.

The accuracy of the Savage Mark II-BV is no less then astonishing. This is absolutely the most accurate .22 rimfire I've ever fired. The test target supplied by Savage with this rifle was fired on May 1, 2006, with Federal Gold Medal 40 gr. target ammo. It measures an incredible .400 inches at 100 yards.

Anything over Savage... CZ sounds good.

Let me throw in there the ruger 77/22... New trigger and target crowned... Myself and another coach is on target 70-80% of the time out to 300 and 400 yards with it.... Suppressed.

I wouldn't believe it unless i saw it... But it's by far the most accurate 22lr ive ever owned. Actually just picked up a mildot 6-18x40 Leupold Mark AR to replace the 4-12x40 duplex vx2... The gun was out shooting the scope. Needed higher magnification and some reference points down the reticle.

Just a thought. The 77/_ _ series is a very accurate set up.

I have two 452s, an American and a Varmint. They will hold their own with any of my other rifles except a Winchester 52D and a Remington 37. Trigger is adjustable with aftermarket parts (my American weighs in at 12 ounces). Two drawbacks--takes non-standard scope mounts (not 3/8") and the safety works backwards to our usual "forward to fire" types.

CZ 452 Varmint nice rifle... I suspect the 455 should be just as good.

Not familiar with the 455, but I LOVE my CZ 452.
