Comparing a 2 stage AR trigger to a single stage 5 lb lawyer trigger with tons of creep is dumb.

Factory triggers are made that way so some "novice" won't go out and hurt themselves or others then they, or their family members, come back and try to sue the company.

Personally I'm not a fan of of two stage triggers, even on an AR.

to the ones who have "no issues with mine", have you shot a really good single stage or top quality 2 stage in an AR platform rifle, or is it a matter of shooting a crappy milspec trigger and not liking it?

From my side... If I were buying a trigger "upgrade" I would choose something else for sure. Mine just happened to come with my RRA Varmint. Its pretty decent and with the 2 stage it allows a little softer trigger pull on the break. I'm satisified enough to have not ran out and ordered a $275 Geiselle Match trigger upgrade. My shooting with this rifle is mostly done from a bench, so I would appreciate a lighter and more crisp trigger break. I'm sure I will eventually get one in time. If I built another lower would I go out and purchase an RRA National Match trigger? No. I would go ahead and spend the extra $100to get the best 2 stage (Geiselle) as I like 2 stage trigger.

Yes better (lots better in fact) in my opinion than Milspec, but not even close to a top Geiselle Match trigger. Trigger is not as crisp and cannot be tuned as light...

I've shot most. There's bad, ok, "I can work with this", and excellent. I don't put any 2-stage trigger in the excellent category. The bulk of my AR work is 3-gun and a good single stage is what I like, need and want.

I can do trigger jobs on my AR's but it is time consuming and isn't excellent. The best I have found is a fitted single-stage JP trigger.
