        My 1100 is about 15 yrs old. Says only 2-3/4" on the barrel and shots 3" no prob. Even 2oz #5 turkey loads. Now Winchester super speeds 7/8 oz are a different story.

          need to replace the O-rings. there was a recall on them back in the day, that was the symptom.
