If they shoot as much and are as hard on guns as I think they are I bet they run through 4-5 of them a season.

If they can even get them to fire, they have problems ejecting, Then if they get through that they have failures feeding.

Google mossberg 930 failure and you can read for days about these pos's...

If somebody owns one and I hurt your feelings because yours "runs like a dream" maybe you should sell it while it works and thank me later.
(No feelings hurt)You can run mine any day....all the "reviews" are about the first and second gen weapons.....
I will gladly stand behind my first person review of a weapon..
Quick question though...have you ran one?

Yes I "ran" one of the first ones... Buddy brought it out to the range... We ended up working on it more than we shot it..

Maybe the "g3" is better... I will never know. Fool me once type of thing.

Btw to stand behind it.. After they put out 2 "versions" that all failed is not a very wise decision in my point of view. A company with that kind of R&D and QC isn't something I look for in a manufacturer... They let their customers be their R&D department... Always have. I guess it works for them.

As for me. Go hire a guinea pig. I'm not paying good money and wasting my time to be one. Put out a quality firearm from the get go and build a solid reputation that way.

There is some truth in that...Some firearms companies have had weapons that should have never made it past R/D or QC...much less into the hands of customers , but it happens. But as far as building a solid reputation, Mossberg had that before both of us were born...

When I bought mine the factory had fixed its issues and produces a quality weapon...I will run it till it has issues then I will let everyone know about it.. And its not like I went out a ran a few rounds through one, Im easily over 2k and still going..

The way I look at it, I payed for a quality weapon, its what I received, and has not given me a reason to not think any different, and those individuals who have had their weapons fail and got to use mine...now own one..

My opinion is completely honest and open based on what I know first hand in regards to the newest version of the shotgun, not the first two versions..

As for The shows choice..its a business and they are in it to make money...

I was once sponsored by muzzy and a few other companies...I did not use muzzy products other than in product shots or bowfishing...same for the actual bow I used to hunt....sponsored by one company and use another to hunt with..

I've never heard them have anything but a sub par reputation.... Which is what you are saying here... So I called a few old timers... My dad and my ffl... I was needing to talk to them away... But that's another purchase/story

Dads response: please don't buy another mossberg... What did you find this time? Lol...

FFl's response: back in the day when savages where exceptionally poor in quality mossberg was right their with them... Savage has made a new name for themselves but I still wouldn't buy a mossberg..

So then I googled mossberg and tried to read about the reputation you speak of they used to have... Found nothing.

So I must ask... What are you referring to? Name a firearm they build with a stellar reputation so I can look it up.

The Mossberg 500 has always been a workhorse in the shadow of the Rem 870.

even though Im not tier 1, I'll weigh in

Ive never heard of mossberg being considered a quality weapons/guns manufacturer.
It was always more of a "good buy for the price" like Ruger...

Im from a long and large line line of shotgun hunters and we only used A5's and an occasional 1100.
I can only think of one person Ive hunted with that used a mossberg pump. he never had any issues with it.
So other than google and other gun forums, I have no opinion on mossberg.

I will bet that every single shotgun sent to these guys will be gone over, tested and made sure it would run flawlessly.

Ive been shooting Benelli for a while, my SBE is an original HK import gun.
Benelli are/were known to be a fickled beast also, but with lighter loads.

One thing Benelli excels at is heavy loads.
I cant begin to guess how many flawless cases of heavy 3" and 3.5" Ive ran thru mine.

Tuff will run his hard enough so if there is a weak spot,
he'll find it and report back.
