I know a lot of RRA parts are not interchangeable, but will a RRA upper work on a normal AR lower? Im having a difficult time finding RRA lower (.308)....
There's not much consistency on the .308 "AR" stuff. With .223/5.56 stuff there is. You can assume that .223 stuff is interchangeable between manufacturers. You should assume that the .308 stuff is not.
Does that help? Basically, there's no standard .308 "AR" where the .223 ARs are just copies of the military weapon design (minus fun stuff like burst mode or full auto.)
Find a DPMS lower and use that upper. The DPMS is a more versatile lower with easier to find magazines and parts. the issue with 308 interchangeability is the magazine well.
I've heard the uppers don't mesh well with other brand lowers but vise versa seems to be ok.
Also the 308 seem to be way more picky than the 556. Might wanna just hold out for a RRA lower just to be safe.
x2 hold out for a RRA lower, you will be better off keeping it all the same. have run DPMS on Rock upper and have had problems. they mate up but not real well, a little loose. Hold out for Rock lower.

so ?
did it function ?
RRA is well known for a tight upper/lower fit. the barf'comers seem to think thats high quality when its just stupid.

the slop isnt a factor in function or accuracy.TBH, dump the RRA all together and get all dpms in the 308 platform
