I've had a couple Glocks, and I like them. The biggest thing I can't get used to is that grip angle. If it was more 1911 like, I think it would be the nearly perfect handgun...second, of course, to the 1911 :-D The triggers are acceptably short, albeit heavy (that's fixable), they are super reliable, pretty much bomb proof as far as being used and abused, I just don't like that angle. I picked up my buddie's Gen4 just last weekend, gripped it, closed my eyes, extended my arms and imagined aiming at a picture he had on the wall. When I opened my eyes, I was pointing at the ceiling! Did the same with my 1911 and I was dead on the picture. I have found the S&W M&P to be better in that aspect, but the triggers are terrible. For an additional 130 bucks or so, you can install an Apex kit that will make it very similar to a 1911 trigger by all accounts, but that's another 130 bucks, AND I would think you would have to have the model with the thumb safety if you went that route and wanted to carry it for serious social purposes.

I called my first Glock my Humvee gun, cuz it reminded me of a military truck ( boxy, ugly and unstopable). I put a Lone Wolf 3.5 lb trigger bar in mine and Advantage Tactical sights. The little buffer pad between recoil spring and frame is a nice add on too. Yes, I have multiple Glocks now.............well I did before my house was burglarized anyway.........
