Please join me in welcoming the newest member of my family!

My new Sig 938. I went into the gunshop, just to look around, price some 10-22's, kill some time. Knowing that they are normally way overpriced, i wasn't going to buy anything. Then...out of the corner of my eye, i spotted this little beauty, 100 dollars cheaper than i have seen it anywhere else, and, it came with an extra mag and laser. Now if I can just find some ammo at a reasonable price.

Kaitlin has convinced herself that I bought it for her since her cousin Carries the 380 version and she likes that one.

So you have that problem too, you buy a new gun for yourself and your wife feels it was bought for her. Glad to know I'm not the only one!

So far, I'm in love with this pistol. Same basic manual of arms as my daily carry 1911, only much smaller. Reviews I've read and seen on youtube say that it's incredibly accurate, especially for such a small pistol. One review, by hickok45 on youtube showed him shooting a gong and various other targets. The gong was really impressive to me. He doesn't specify how far out it is, but it looks to be a long shot for a little gun, maybe 50 yards, and he hit it consistently with the p938. I was impressed. On his shorter range targets, he kept a very tight group during rapid fire. I can't wait to go shoot this thing!

That's extremely encouraging! I'm hoping to collect enough ammo this weekend to go out Sunday to run her through her paces, then taking her to the range for qualification on Tuesday morning. It's good to have a direct line to the head of the department, if I hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have a chance to qualify until November probably! Luckily, there are a couple guys who missed quals in November and needed a makeup day, so we set up a time next week!
